Position Overview:
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Traveling Cable Technician to join our growing team. This role involves traveling to various job sites across the country to install, maintain, and troubleshoot low-voltage cabling systems. Key Responsibilities:
- Install and terminate Cat5e, Cat6, and fiber optic cabling.
- Perform cable testing, labeling, and documentation.
- Read and interpret blueprints, floor plans, and wiring diagrams.
- Mount and install network racks, patch panels, and cable trays.
- Troubleshoot and resolve connectivity issues.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment on job sites.
- Adhere to safety standards and company protocols.
- Travel extensively to support projects nationwide.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1–2 years of experience in low-voltage cabling or structured cabling systems.
- Familiarity with BICSI standards is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work on ladders or lifts.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
