Job Title: Trade Operations Contractor - 5161
Type: Contract Assignment
Start Date: 8/25 or 9/1
Duration: 6 moths to start, could extend, could go perm
Location: San Jose CA
Pay Rate: $65-$70/hour
We are seeking TWO experienced Trade Operations Contractors for a 6-month contract
Urgent start by September.
There is potential for these roles to be converted to full-time positions.
Experience Required: 3-5 years in relevant roles
Onsite training in San Jose, CA area then Remote-must work PST hours
Travel expenses for training can be reimbursed

Responsibilities
- Manage and process classification requests for various jurisdictions
- Respond to requests from client’s customs brokers regarding shipment status
- Address FDA/entry requirements for shipments as needed
- Oversee clearing of shipments and customs processes
- Manage full trade requests, including both import and export operations
- Ensure compliance with all relevant trade and customs regulations
Must-Have Skills & Experience
- Strong operational background in trade compliance
- Experience with import and export processes
- Brokerage experience (customs brokerage background)
- Ability to manage multiple trade requests simultaneously
- Experience responding to classification and shipment status inquiries
- Familiarity with FDA/entry requirements for international shipments
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Oracle Global Trade Management (not required, but a plus)
- The position involves supporting the day-to-day trade operations of a company’s global business. This is a diverse and fast-paced role in a dynamic environment that will involve technical trade analysis, stakeholder management, creative-thinking, and project ownership.
- This position requires remote and/or on-site support Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:30pm PST (to be confirmed by client). The role is predominantly remote/hybrid.
- We prefer if they are in the Bay Area (specifically San Jose) - this location is needed for training/onboarding purposes, but also, it is close to the client’s local office, if needed.
Responsibilities:
- Working with the business to manage all international shipping requests.
- Assistance with post-entry audit
- Ensuring that all international shipments are being compliantly imported and exported.
- End-to-end management of the compliance aspects of international trade.
- Managing international shipments in global trade solutions.
- Working with a global team of trade specialists to ensure operations are working efficiently.
- Classifying goods for import and export purposes.
- Working with customs brokers to ensure goods are cleared in a timely and compliant manner.
- Understanding Other Government Reporting requests and the type of information required (i.e., FDA approval)
- Identifying the need for import and export authorizations and working with the relevant parties to obtain these authorizations.
- Assistance with preparation of export licenses and export license applications.
- Analyzing and reconciling trade data to produce reports to meet government reporting requirements.
- Building relationships with key stakeholders across Tech Giant’s business.
- Assistance with coordination of internal logistics, external manufacturers and 3PLs for datasheets, end-user letters, stamps, etc.
- Managing these relationships and acting as an ambassador for the Trade Operation’s team.
- Knowledge of SAP is not required.
