Job Description
For trade and compliance, the HM wants a seasoned person (no less than 5 years, ideally more) who knows what to do and the why behind it. They'll need experience with FDA intended use codes and product codes. Ideally experience with USDA permits as well.
Essential Functions
- Make HS Code, CoO and Valuation Determinations
- Shipment import and export resolution for shipments delayed during customs clearance
- Make FDA Product Code and Intended Use determinations
- Apply for USDA permits when necessary.
- Work with internal partners and functional areas to ensure high level of trade compliance awareness and understanding
- Conduct trade compliance trainings on HS Codes, CoO, Value
- Collaborate on internal SOP’s/Work Instructions to identify best practices.
- Lead and manage relationships with customs broker service providers.
- Support internal and external (CMO) sites with Trade Compliance leadership, technical information to enable execution
- Conduct Post Entry audits
- Maintain records for all Inc imports
- Support export and SLIs and EEI filings
- Identify opportunities for process improvement
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in supply chain, logistics, business, or other relevant discipline preferred.
- 3-5 years work experience in Logistics, Transportation, Import/Export, cold-chain other Supply Chain function.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in supply chain, logistics, business, or other relevant discipline preferred.
- 3-5 years work experience in Logistics, Transportation, Import/Export, cold-chain other Supply Chain function.
- Licensed Customs Broker preferred
- FDA/MHRA/EMA experience preferred
- 3-5 years work experience in Biotech-Pharmaceuticals
