Job Description

Position Summary

The Title Assistant supports the processing of truck and equipment deals by preparing legal transfer documents for the DMV and related title services. This role also provides front desk support, greeting visitors, directing calls, and handling clerical tasks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and process title documents for new and used vehicles, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable laws.
  • Post vehicle sales and purchases; register warranties and service policy contracts.
  • Collect, review, and input title-related information into systems; generate and distribute necessary documents.
  • Support the Title Manager with reporting, planning, and coordination of title operations.
  • Provide receptionist support including answering phones, greeting visitors, scheduling, and general clerical tasks.
  • Build and maintain relationships with service providers and ensure timely communication.
  • Stay current on industry practices through training, publications, and networking.

Required Qualifications

  • Knowledge of title practices, laws, and compliance requirements.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Professional, adaptable, and able to work under pressure in a changing environment.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to resolve issues effectively.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and database/spreadsheet software.
  • Experience with office equipment and online systems.
  • Notary Public certification.
  • Ability to work independently with strong initiative and discretion.
