Nature & Purpose of Position:

This position seeks a student that is self-motivated, has a good attitude, and works well with others. The student will assist the College of Criminal Justice Marketing team perform general office duties including, assisting with front office organizational operations, helping professional staff with marketing projects, maintaining calendars, and maintaining databases. Training will be given on specific programs and equipment. Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications

• Must be a Sam Houston State University student.
• Must be able to work 20 hours and follow an agreed schedule.
• Must be knowledgeable in basic computer and software skills including Windows 10, MS Office (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel), Adobe Acrobat, and Zoom.
• Must be capable of multitasking on several different applications, workstations, and media equipment at a given time.
• Must be able to take instruction on creative work objectively and be willing to have open discussions on job tasks with the team.
• Must be willing to work on repetitive tasks when necessary.
• Must possess a willingness to learn new applications, new equipment, or new methods of performing tasks when applicable.

Preferred

• Marketing, Mass Communication, Communication Studies or English student
