Job Title: Material Handler
Location: Skokie, IL
Shift: 8am - 4:30pm Monday to Friday
Pay: $18 - $20 (Depending on experience)
Requirements: Bilingual- Spanish / English Speaking / Authorized to work in the US
Position Type: Temp to Hire
Basic Function:
Our client is seeking a reliable and experienced Material Handler to join their team on a temp-to-hire basis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for moving, stocking, and organizing materials within the facility. This role is a great opportunity for a skilled forklift operator to grow with the company and transition into a permanent position.
Key Responsibilities:
Receive, inspect, and document incoming shipments
Prepare and package outgoing orders accurately and on time
Operate forklift to load/unload materials as needed
Perform light product assembly tasks according to specifications
Maintain clean and organized workspaces in the shipping and production areas
Keep accurate records of inventory and shipments
Wrap pallets
Follow all safety procedures and company policies
Requirements:
Previous experience in shipping/receiving or warehouse environment preferred
Experience operating a forklift (certification a plus)
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
Attention to detail and good organizational skills
Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
Must have the ability to speak read and write English and speak Spanish
