We are seeking dedicated, experienced, and versatile BOH/FOH service industry individuals to join our team as we begin to open our new West Side location. The ideal candidate will be passionate about cooking, have a keen interest in Indian cuisine, and be willing to take on the dual role of preparing delicious dishes and ensuring the cleanliness of our kitchen. This position is perfect for someone who enjoys variety in their work and thrives in a fast-paced environment. We are looking for wait staff and bartenders as well, 2 years experience in casual-fine dining preferred, but we're happy to show you the ropes if you are willing to learn.
Key Responsibilities:
Line Cook Duties:
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards
- Assist in the preparation of ingredients and mise en place for service
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including food storage and preparation areas
- Ensure all food items are prepared in a timely and efficient manner
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth and efficient service
- Monitor food stock and place orders as needed
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines
Dishwasher Duties:
- Wash and sanitize dishes, cookware, and utensils in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area and ensure all equipment is in good working order
- Assist with kitchen cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, and taking out trash
- Ensure proper storage of clean dishes and equipment
- Server Duties: Servers will be trained in fine dining capacity. Must understand importance of customer service, and the rest will be taught and trained by General Manager
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Line Cook or similar role in a restaurant setting
- Familiarity with Indian cuisine and cooking techniques is preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work as part of a team and take direction from senior kitchen staff
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
- Food Handler's Certification is preferred
- Basic understanding of sanitation and cleanliness practices
