Refactor Games is a AAA sports video game studio . We are developing the next generation of professional football (soccer) video games using Unreal Engine 5 .
We are looking for a Senior Technical Artist focused on optimizing a visually rich and performant football game.
Experience:
- 3+ years developing games for console and/or PC, ideally sports or competitive multiplayer.
- At least 1 shipped high-quality football game or a similar sports game.
Responsibilities:
- Profile and optimize GPU/CPU performance.
- Implement LODs, streaming systems, texture optimization, material simplification.
- Collaborate with art, VFX, and rendering teams to meet performance targets.
- Guide art teams on best practices for console and PC optimization.
- Ensure large-scale scenes (crowds, stadiums) perform well in-game.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of technical art experience.
- Deep knowledge of UE5 performance profiling and optimization.
- Experience shipping optimized games on console and PC.
- Strong communication skills; able to train other team members.
