The Security Officer I is an active member in the Security Team as well as the First Responder Team. This individual provides a wide variety of safety and security activities and services. The Security Officer I maintains a safe and secure environment for customers and employees by patrolling and monitoring premises and personnel. Work shift is Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 pm to 7:00 am. Minimum education required is a high school diploma or equivalent, with preferred post high school education emphasizing security or law enforcement. No minimum experience required, but one year in protective services or safety related field or current enrollment in safety or security coursework is preferred. Certifications required within 6 months of start date include a State of Wisconsin valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record, Basic Life Support (BLS) or First Aid certification awarded by the American Heart Association, First Responder Certification, and Non-violent Crisis Intervention training. The position is part-time with scheduled weekly hours of 16, working Friday to Sunday night shifts.
