Jim’s Outboard Service is seeking a reliable and skilled Seasonal Outboard Mechanic to join our team for the busy boating season. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with outboard motors, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to providing excellent service to our customers.
Responsibilities:
Diagnose, repair, and maintain outboard motors and marine engines
Perform routine maintenance, including oil changes, spark plug replacement, and fuel system cleaning
Troubleshoot engine and mechanical issues to ensure safe and reliable operation
Install marine accessories and make necessary adjustments
Communicate with customers regarding repairs, maintenance, and service recommendations
Maintain a clean and organized work area, tools, and equipment
Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies
Qualifications:
Previous experience as an outboard mechanic or in marine engine repair
Knowledge of two-stroke and four-stroke outboard engines
Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Valid driver’s license
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred:
Certification in marine engine repair
Experience with seasonal workload and peak boating season demands
