Manage the day-to-day production activities of the mine by providing direction and leadership to assigned work group. The Quarry Supervisor serves as a liaison between plant management and the hourly workforce while ensuring that daily / shift goals related to safety, quality and productivity are consistently met. The Quarry Supervisor is also accountable for ensuring that their work team is adequately trained and prepared to perform their tasks in a safe and efficient manner. The Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that the mine plan adheres to the highest health and safety standards for the mining crews and works closely with the mine planning team to ensure compliance with the long-term mine plan. Responsibilities include setting and achieving Continuous Improvement goals in KPIs, promoting safety awareness and compliance, managing daily/shift priorities, evaluating manpower utilization and cost control, ensuring effective employee relations, providing coaching and development, enforcing safety rules and policies, managing performance measurement, ensuring safe operation of mobile equipment, and working with Continuous Improvement personnel to implement process improvements. The role requires leadership experience, ability to work any shift including on-call and overtime, good communication and problem-solving skills, and physical capability to perform work in various environmental conditions. Education required is a High School Diploma or GED with preferred degrees in related fields. Experience required is 2-4 years in supervisory roles in manufacturing, construction, or mining environments.
