What you'll do here:
As a Seasonal Experienced Tax Preparer, you will provide expert guidance, explain, prepare, and complete accurate tax forms for clients, including multiyear, multistate, and year-end forms. You will also support IRS audits, complete e-filing, and provide printed copies of returns for review, signing, and e-filing to IRS and state agencies.
- Conduct face-to-face tax interviews with clients.
- Drive business growth, enhance client retention, and promote additional products and services.
- Answer client calls via our national call center routing system.
- Address tax-related questions and assist with future tax planning.
- Process client payments and ensure timely deposits.
- Engage in marketing and business development efforts.
- Support office priorities through teamwork and collaboration.
- Mentor and support teammates, providing guidance and leadership when needed.
- Handle sensitive, confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
Skills you'll bring for success:
- 3+ seasons of tax experience (note: experience with friends and family does not count).
- Experience completing individual tax returns.
- Passion for delivering outstanding customer service.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Successful completion of the Jackson Hewitt Tax Knowledge Assessment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- PTIN Certification: required.
- Must be Maryland Certified or able to become MD certified within 2 weeks of hire.
