Summary:
We are seeking a Polysomnographer / Sleep Tech with experience in both pediatric and adult sleep studies for a 13-week night shift assignment. This role requires the ability to work independently, manage a 1:2 adult ratio and 1:1 pediatric ratio, and deliver accurate sleep study monitoring, scoring, and reporting using Alice 6 G3 and ResMed systems. This is a high-demand unit that expects strong clinical knowledge and the ability to float to like units if needed.
Responsibilities:
Conduct various sleep studies including Baseline Polysomnography, MSLT (adult and pediatric), Seizure Studies, and Home Sleep Tests
Score sleep studies identifying sleep stages, arousals, hypopneas, complex apneas, and other abnormalities
Operate and troubleshoot Alice 6 G3 and ResMed CPAP equipment
Manage titration using CPAP, BiPAP, VPAP, ASV, and oxygen therapy
Monitor patients using PSG, ECG, EEG, RIP, End-Tidal CO2, and O2 Saturation systems
Fit and educate patients on masks (nasal, full face, nasal pillow)
Adhere to infection control practices and ensure accurate documentation using Epic
Float to similar units as needed
Work every other weekend; block scheduling not guaranteed
Experience with both adult and pediatric sleep studies
Must manage a 1:2 ratio for adults and 1:1 for pediatrics
Proficient in staging, scoring, and titration using advanced diagnostic tools
Strong knowledge of sleep-related conditions such as Cheyne-Stokes and Periodic Limb Movement
Comfortable with Epic charting
Must submit all RTO at time of submission
Guaranteed hours; facility may call off once per two-week pay period
Education:
Associate degree in Polysomnography, Respiratory Therapy, or equivalent field preferred
Experience:
Minimum 1 year of sleep lab experience required
Experience with both pediatric and adult patients required
First-time travelers accepted
License:
RPSGT or RRT with SDS required
Active California state license required (no pending)
BLS certification required
