Job Title: Performance Analyst

Salary: $40,000 - $60,000
Brooklyn FC is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Performance Analyst to join our sporting department. This individual will play a key role in supporting the first team’s success by delivering high-level performance analysis, assisting in tactical planning, and contributing to the club’s broader player development and recruitment strategies.
This is a hybrid role combining video analysis, coaching support, and strategic insight, with the added responsibility of serving as Assistant Coach for the Brooklyn FC Women’s team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the game, technical expertise in performance analysis tools, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, professional environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Performance Analysis & Reporting - Capture and analyze all Brooklyn FC training sessions and matches using advanced video analysis tools.
- Produce detailed reports and presentations on player, team, and opponent performance.
- Provide real-time and post-match video support for all matches (home and away).
- Submit weekly performance reports to the Sporting Director, highlighting key takeaways and areas for improvement.
2. Tactical Integration & Coaching Support - Analyze upcoming opponents and prepare tactical reports and video breakdowns.
- Work closely with the coaching staff to integrate analysis into training session planning.
- Assist in training session delivery and match preparation as part of the coaching staff.
- Educate players and staff on the use of analysis tools to enhance performance.
- Serve as Assistant Coach for the Brooklyn FC Women’s team under the guidance of the Head Coach.
3. Player Development & Recruitment - Support the creation and tracking of Individual Development Plans (IDPs) for players.
- Collaborate with the Sporting Director on player scouting and recruitment using data and video analysis.
4. Operations & Collaboration - Work closely with all club departments (medical, operations, equipment, admin) to support day-to-day operations.
- Help set up and break down training sessions and matchday equipment.
- Manage analysis equipment and ensure proper data storage and functionality.
5. Professional Growth & Club Support - Stay current on trends and innovations in performance analysis and video technology.
- Support the Head Coach with additional duties as needed, aligned with Brooklyn FC’s values and objectives.
Preferred Qualifications: - Experience in performance or video analysis within a professional environment.
- Proficiency in video analysis software (e.g., Hudl Sportscode, Wyscout, Coach Paint).
- Strong understanding of soccer tactics and training methodology.
- USSF B License (or equivalent) and prior on-field experience working within a coaching staff are strongly preferred.
- Ability to travel and work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
