Job Description
Metzgers is looking for an Offset Press operator that enjoys helping our customers with their high-quality printed products such as books, magazines, calendars, and catalogs.
- Preparing the press for printing by loading plates and paper and assuring ink settings are correct and match specifications.
- Reading and understanding work orders.
- Operating the press and monitoring the print process.
- Matching color to the proofs.
- Checking proofs/samples and continually checking the quality of printed materials to ensure customer specifications are met.
- Keeping the presses in good working order.
- Preforming maintenance on presses.
- Removing, stacking, and packing printed material in various stages of completion on pallets as it accumulates on machine.
- Troubleshooting print and equipment issues.
What you will need to be successful:
- High school diploma.
- The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years of industry experience.
- Offset print experience is strongly preferred.
- Able to comprehend and apply basic mathematical principles and use a calculator and technology.
- Good attendance is required.
