Mechanical Engineer / Tool & Die Designer

We are currently seeking candidates with experience in SolidWorks and Tool & Die knowledge in a metal stamping environment for a customer in Uniontown/Green.
In this position you will create detailed designs for stamping dies (progressive and or single-hit dies) using CAD software (SolidWorks) in a state-of-the-art Tool and Die Manufacturing Company.
Training to expand knowledge in 3D CAD/SolidWorks and Tool and Die Design can be provided for the right candidate.
Hours :
- Monday-Friday, 7:00am-3:00pm + overtime as needed
Pay :
- $55,000-$65,000+/year, depending on experience
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop 2D/3D models, blueprints, and specifications of tooling for metal stamping
- Work with customers, Tool & Die Makers and machinists to ensure proper design
- Oversee the development of prototype dies, conduct tryout runs on stamping presses, and analyze results
- Specify appropriate materials for dies
- Prepare technical documentation, including design drawings
- Manage tooling projects from concept to production
Minimum Requirements:
- Associate Degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering/Design; BSME a plus
- Experience with 2D and 3D design and modeling in CAD required, SolidWorks preferred
- Experience in tool and die design or related manufacturing processes preferred
- Experience in metal stamping (single-hit and progressive) preferred
- Familiarity with GD&T
- Understanding of mechanical engineering principles, metallurgy, and manufacturing processes
