Follow the firm’s progress on Facebook, X/Twitter and LinkedIn.Hagens Berman Sobol Shapiro is seeking a Litigation Associate to join our practice in our Berekley office.Core Responsibilities:Investigate and vet potential new cases for technical and legal issuesResponsible for having a deep knowledge and understand all the facts in each case that is assignedAbility to review, summarize, and highlight evidence gathered from documentsResearch legal facts and regulations for new casesConduct all phases of civil discovery, including drafting written discovery, conducting meet and confers, and preparing for and conducting depositionsDraft briefs, memoranda, and other legal documentsPrepare for hearing, trial, and depositionsHelp identify and work with expertsIdentify, select and prepare expert witnessesRequirements and Qualifications:Highly accomplished academic and employment credentials (federal law clerk experience a plus)Exceptional analytical skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detailSuperior writing, drafting and oral advocacy skillsExcellent interpersonal, organizational, planning, verbal and written communication skillsResults oriented, self-starter, with a high level of initiativeAbility to work collaboratively in a team environment with internal and external contacts at all levelsAbility to work independently, shift focus, adapt to changing priorities, and maintain patience in high pressure situationsMust manage highly confidential information with professionalism and unquestionable integrityProficient in Microsoft Office (including Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel)Full time employees become eligible for several benefits on the first of the month following hire, including medical, dental, vision, HSA, life insurance, AD&D, EAP, 401K, LTD and STD.
