Growing capital management firm is seeking a detail-oriented, motivated, and career-driven Junior Accountant to join our finance team. This role will be responsible for full-cycle bookkeeping across our subsidiaries as well as supporting the corporate accounting team with financial reporting, compliance, and audit preparation. Key Responsibilities
Bookkeeping
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping for all operating subsidiaries.
- Record daily transactions, reconcile bank accounts, and maintain general ledgers.
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness of AP/AR, payroll entries, and intercompany transactions.
- Prepare subsidiary-level financial statements and roll-ups for consolidation.
Corporate Accounting & Reporting
- Post journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Assist with consolidations of subsidiary financials into corporate results.
- Maintain organized and audit-ready records in line with PCAOB/SEC requirements.
Compliance & Controls
- Ensure all transactions comply with internal policies and US GAAP.
- Assist with external audit requests and compliance filings.
- Support internal control processes across entities.
Financial Planning & Support
- Assist with corporate budgeting and forecasting.
- Provide ad-hoc analysis for management and support M&A transaction accounting.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required).
- 0–2 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience (internship or entry-level experience acceptable).
- Understanding of accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS); exposure to public company standards is a plus.
- Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks Online, Sage, NetSuite, or similar).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong communicator with the ability to work effectively across teams and subsidiaries.
- Self-starter who can manage responsibilities independently and meet deadlines.
- Career-motivated with a strong interest in advancing within corporate finance and accounting.
- Highly detail-oriented, organized, and able to juggle multiple entities simultaneously.
