🔹 The Role

We’re looking for a self-starting, people-savvy Outside Sales Rep (BDR-style) to own and grow a Midwest territory. You’ll focus on selling cloud-based software solutions to local governments in Iowa, Illinois, and Missouri , working directly with city and county decision-makers.

You’ll partner closely with a senior sales rep while managing your own book of business—hunting new leads, building lasting relationships, and helping towns modernize critical workflows.

City Managers

County Auditors & Assessors

Planning/Zoning Directors

Officials in towns under 10M population

🔹 What You’ll Do

  • Drive new business in your territory through outbound prospecting and field visits
  • Attend local government trade shows and build grassroots relationships
  • Sell solutions that directly impact civic operations
  • Work with a Sr. Rep to learn the market, develop strategy, and close deals
  • Help shape the sales process in a long-cycle, high-impact environment

🔹 Who We’re Looking For

  • 1+ years of SaaS or GovTech sales experience (local government focus is key)
  • You've sold to decision-makers in cities/towns — titles like County Appraiser, City Manager, Planning Director
  • Proven hunter mentality — you love building a pipeline from scratch
  • You’re creative , resourceful, and not just going through the motions
  • You’ve closed deals , not just passed leads
  • Bonus: Experience with competitors in the GovTech space
  • You can clearly explain how you’d build trust in a small-town market
