We make fiber-optic passive components and are looking for a new team member to join our production floor. Shift: Day Hours: 40 hours a week Pay: Starting $19.00/hour Essential Duties: Operate equipment and tools involved in the production and testing of fiber-optic components. Assemble fiber-optic components accurately according to specifications and standard operating procedures (SOPs). Perform quality inspections at various stages of production to ensure components meet required specifications and quality standards. Handle, prepare, and manage raw materials used in the production process. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment to promote efficiency and safety. Record and document production data, inspection results, and relevant information accurately in production logs. Collaborate with engineers on experiments and testing to develop, analyze, or improve products. Assist in training operators in assembling and building fiber-optic components. Support small production teams by managing workflows and ensuring on-time delivery of manufactured and tested components. Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment and prevent accidents. Requirements: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Minimum of a 2-year college degree in physics, engineering, or a related science field. Strong attention to detail and the ability to perform repetitive tasks with precision. Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination. Willingness to learn new techniques, processes, and skills. Strong team-oriented mindset with good communication and collaboration skills.
