General Purpose:
\n\n\n\n\n
Utilizing DFA tractor and trailer, to transport raw milk from depot to processing plant
\n\n\n\n\n
Duties and Responsibilities:
\n\n\n\n\n
\n - Operates a commercial motor vehicle in compliance with DOT and DFA rules, regulations and policies adhering to all safety practices
\n - Following dispatch schedule and directions from dispatch and location supervisory personnel, travels to location to transport raw milk
\n - Takes measures to minimize truck idle times and conserve fuel consumption
\n - Verify proper documentation (Load number/Seal numbers/etc.) to validate load delivery and destination.
\n - Disassemble, clean, and re-assemble trailer pumps to maintain proper cleanliness at a food grade level.
\n - Always represents DFA positively and professionally during interactions with customers, or regulatory personnel
\n - This is a part time position, specifically for weekend hours.

Education and Experience \n\n\n\n\n
\n - High School Diploma or GED or equivalent Preferred
\n - Must have a current CDL (Class A) in state of residence.
\n - Must have, or be able to obtain, a tanker endorsement.
\n - Minimum of 1-year verifiable CDL driving experience (military experience does count towards this requirement)
\n - In lieu of 1-year verifiable driving experience, driver applicants may have successfully graduated from a FMCSA Entry-Level Driver Training certified driving school.
\n - Must be at least 21 years of age.
\n - Must meet all DOT requirements.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
\n
\n - Knowledge of DOT procedures, rules, and requirements
\n - Ability to communicate effectively in the English language both orally and in writing
\n - Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
\n - Ability to read and record accurate volume and weight measurement
\n - Good organization and record keeping skills
\n - Punctuality
