This role is designed for a proactive leader who will serve as a key influencer of culture, shaping how ethics and compliance are embraced throughout our North American operations. The ECO will drive initiatives that resonate across diverse global audiences, crafting messaging that speaks to both local nuances and our overarching corporate values. This position reports to the Vice President, Global Ethics & Compliance Programs. This position can sit anywhere in the United States or Canada. What you'll do: Serve as a dedicated ethics and compliance champion for North America and the primary point of contact for ethics and compliance-related matters across North American operations: Support local teams by advising on ethics and compliance challenges, providing guidance in line with The Otis Absolutes and global best practices, and conducting on-line and in-person training. Contribute to the development and delivery of training, awareness campaigns, and regional messaging working closely with the VP, Global Ethics & Compliance Programs. Continually raise awareness on key organizational risks and provide timely, actionable insights that empower business leaders, by monitoring trends in internal investigations, company surveys, risk management data, and liaising with regional leadership. Monitor employee engagement with ethics initiatives, track trends, and analyze data to assess program effectiveness and identify opportunities for continuous improvement. Support ethics and compliance investigations across North America, as needed by Global Investigations Team. Stay abreast of legal and regulatory landscape in North America to ensure the company remains compliant with evolving requirements and identify external lessons learned that should be shared across the region. Stay up to date on emerging external compliance trends, particularly related to new technologies and evolving regulatory expectations. What you will need to be successful: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in ethics, compliance, HR, audit, finance, safety, field operations, or quality, preferably within a multinational organization working with global teams, and experience conducting investigations. Proficient communicator with exceptional writing skills, capable of inspiring trust of colleagues, leaders and teams. Proven ability to communicate complex topics clearly, create messaging that resonates across diverse audiences/employee levels, positively influence compliance culture at all organizational levels, and deliver information in a way that inspires engagement and action. A track record of ethical decision-making and fostering integrity within an organization. Deep understanding of the importance of accountability, trust, confidentiality and decision quality in the compliance function. Strong emotional intelligence, cultural sensitivity, and the ability to work effectively in a multicultural, multinational organization. Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and compliance challenges in North America/or interest and willingness to develop knowledge and expertise on same. Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint. Familiarity with Power BI or other data visualization tools is highly valued to help identify trends and translate insights into compelling narratives. Willingness to travel throughout North America.
