Job Description

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
• 10+ years of progressive experience in IT database roles
• Experience with high availability and disaster recovery database systems
• AWS or Azure certification is preferred

Must-Have Skills

• Db2 LUW (Linux/Unix/Windows) – primary required skill
• AWS Cloud Knowledge:
• EC2, S3, EBS
• Observability/Monitoring:
• DataDog or OTEL (OpenTelemetry)

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Neo4j (graph database)
• CockroachDB
• Strong background in Oracle and MySQL (considered if no Neo4j/Cockroach but strong AWS/cloud skills)

Responsibilities

• Support and troubleshoot CockroachDB , Neo4j , Azure SQL MI , and Azure MySQL
• Build and configure DB infrastructure in AWS (using tools like CloudFormation)
• Support production and implement proactive monitoring using DataDog, AWS CloudWatch, etc.
• Handle incident, change, and problem management processes
• Participate in on-call and weekend change management rotation
• Develop and maintain clear technical documentation and operational standards
• Write basic automation/scripts (shell, Python, etc.)
• Collaborate across infrastructure, application, and support teams
• Work within Agile methodologies
