A leading law firm in Everett is looking to add a Junior Attorney to their Criminal Defense team. Responsibilities:
• Represent clients in courtroom proceedings, including handling a busy daily court calendar.
• Communicate effectively with clients to provide updates and guidance regarding their cases.
• Conduct intake calls and collaborate with the lead attorney to onboard potential clients.
• Assist in preparing cases for trial, including drafting motions, briefing, and discovery.
• Participate in litigation processes, including jury trials, to advocate for clients.
• Work closely with paralegals and support staff to ensure smooth case management and workflow.
• Utilize case management software and Microsoft programs to maintain organized and accurate records.
• Follow direction from the lead criminal defense attorney while contributing to case strategies.

• Must have an active license with the Washington State Bar.
• Prior experience in criminal defense law is preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong communication, advocacy, and negotiation skills are essential.
• Ability to work well under direction while demonstrating initiative and professionalism.
• Willingness to quickly adapt and learn court procedures.
• Must be a team-oriented individual who collaborates effectively with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff.
