Location:Fall River, MA
Employment Type: Full-Time (34 hours per week, with extended hours during tax season)

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Tax Preparer / Accountant to join our team. This position offers a unique opportunity to work a 4-day work week for most of the year, with extended hours and additional commission opportunities during tax season.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare individual, partnership, and corporate tax returns (3–5 years of experience required).

  • Perform bookkeeping tasks, including preparing accounts up to trial balance.

  • Handle payroll reports and related accounting functions.

  • Collaborate with clients and provide guidance on tax and financial matters.

Qualifications:

  • 3–5 years of hands-on tax preparation experience (individual, partnership, corporate).

  • CPA or EA designation

  • Bookkeeping and payroll reporting experience required.

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Compensation & Schedule:

  • Salary: $53,000 – $65,000 annually (based on $30/hour, 34-hour work week).

  • Commission: 10–15% on prepared tax returns during tax season.

  • Schedule:

    • Off-season: 4-day work week (Mon–Thu, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM).

    • Tax season: 5-day work week (Mon–Fri until 7 PM, plus Saturdays until 4 PM).
