Less than 5% of US homes have standby generator systems today, and we can’t wait to be the leader as more homes have them installed. We anticipate the market growing at least 10% annually, and we expect to lead this growth.
We currently offer our services in fifteen states and are the largest provider of residential standby generator installations for the Home Depot. We are also the exclusive provider for Duke Energy, Dominion, and many others.
With your leadership, we will standardize our safety and fleet management practices nationwide — creating a world-class program that protects our people, ensures compliance, and keeps our operations running at peak efficiency.
About the Role
We are seeking a Safety & Fleet Manager to lead our environmental health & safety programs and oversee our multi-state vehicle fleet operations. This role will develop safety initiatives, ensure compliance across our organization, and optimize fleet operations for efficiency, safety, and cost control.
What You’ll Do
Safety Leadership
- Develop, implement, and manage a company-wide safety program
- Deploy consistent safety standards & culture across all branches and functions
- Lead safety training for:
- Drivers: policies, defensive driving, recurrent training, accident reporting, MVR monitoring, driver list updates
- Warehouses: ergonomics, OSHA compliance, forklift training, warehouse safety design
- Installers: PPE, ergonomics/lifting, electrical/plumbing safety, heavy equipment training
- Offices: ergonomics, emergency drills, egress safety
- Maintain compliance with OSHA, DOT, and other regulations
Fleet Management
- Administer and coordinate operations of 250+ vehicles across 15+ states
- Manage maintenance schedules, vendor communications, and service needs
- Oversee telematics: ensure installation, train managers, monitor alerts, review driver behavior data, provide feedback
- Manage fuel program (WEX): analyze usage, identify anomalies, report trends and savings
- Enforce accident reporting protocols and vehicle safety standards
- Serve as internal point of contact for vehicle claims
- Prepare fleet and safety performance reports for leadership
Qualifications
- Experience in safety leadership, fleet management, or related field
- Knowledge of OSHA, DOT, and fleet safety requirements
- Experience creating and delivering safety training programs
- Familiarity with telematics and fleet management software
- Analytical skills for interpreting performance and compliance data
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to partner with leaders across multiple states
