Buyer
Location: Pittsburgh, PA
Duration: 12+ Month Contract (Ongoing Need - Will Extend / Convert to Perm)
Client: Wabtec Corporation
Pay Rate: $30 - $40 an Hour ($60K - $80K Annual), Based on Experience (Plus 1.5X OT)

Hybrid Work Environment:
Must be local to Pittsburgh, PA. Position is primarily remote, but will require onsite presence 50% of the time during the first two months.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborates effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
- Reviews requisitions and issues purchase orders in compliance with procurement policies.
- Coordinates with internal departments to ensure timely procurement, delivery, and receipt of materials and services.
- Maintains accurate procurement records in Oracle, including pricing, lead times, delivery terms, and other key details.
- Resolves material shortages and expedites deliveries to meet production requirements.
- Ensures timely vendor payments and manages invoice-related inquiries.
- Communicates professionally with vendors, clients, and internal stakeholders.
- Implements supply chain best practices to reduce costs and eliminate inefficiencies.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of procurement experience, with expertise in procurement policies, vendor management, invoice reconciliation, and supply chain operations.
- Proficient in ERP systems for procurement, preferably Oracle.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables, with strong overall computer proficiency.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management and procurement best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with internal teams and external vendors.
- Demonstrated ability to identify inefficiencies and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
