Business Analyst/Manual QA Tester - Business Systems Analyst II

Job Description: The Business Systems Analyst conducts business process analysis, needs assessments, and preliminary cost/benefits analysis to align information technology solutions with business initiatives. This position may serve as a liaison between the business line and the Information Technology (IT) department.

Primary Responsibilities

  1. Formulates/defines specifications for operating software applications or modifies/maintains complex existing applications using engineering releases and utilities.
  2. Analyzes and evaluates existing or proposed systems and devises computer programs, systems, and procedures to process data.
  3. Prepares charts and diagrams to assist in problem analysis and recommends solutions.
  4. Develops coding logic flowcharts, prepares program specifications and diagrams.
  5. Encodes, tests, debugs, and installs operating programs and procedures in coordination with computer operations and user departments.
  6. Reviews progress, evaluates results, and reports inconsistencies to management with suggestions for problem resolution and process improvements.
  7. Provides on-call support rotation after hours and/or weekends as required by certain business groups.

This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED with seven (7) years of related experience, or
  • Bachelor's degree with three (3) years of related experience.

Preferences

  • Banking or financial services industry experience.
  • Experience providing application support, including troubleshooting.
  • Experience with business intelligence tools.
  • Familiarity with agile and/or waterfall methodologies.

  • Strong knowledge of systems and software development concepts, practices, and procedures.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Comments for Suppliers: The preferred candidate will have manual QA testing experience and experience in writing Business Requirements.
