A well-established, large law firm with a strong litigation practice is seeking a General Liability Litigation Associate for its Dallas office . Founded by professionals from large law firms, the firm combines world-class service with a collegial and efficient work environment. Their trial attorneys have decades of experience defending and trying cases in state and federal courts across a variety of practice areas.

Position Overview

The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of litigation experience, preferably in general liability defense, including premises liability, construction, product liability, and related tort matters. The role involves handling cases from inception through trial, including motion practice, depositions, discovery, client interactions, settlement negotiations, and trial preparation.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently manage a caseload involving general liability defense litigation.
• Conduct depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts.
• Draft and argue dispositive motions in both state and federal court.
• Participate in mediation, arbitration, and settlement negotiations.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys in preparing cases for trial.
• Provide legal counsel to clients on litigation strategy and risk assessment.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school and licensed to practice in Texas.
• 2+ years of litigation experience, preferably in general liability defense.
• Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
• Experience with motion practice, depositions, and court appearances.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Salary: Commensurate on the years of experience
