Serendipity Wines is a successful and fast growing wine distributor that is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Assistant Director who wants to combine their passion for wine with the art of selling. This is a multi-faceted role as a key account sales representative, portfolio specialist and sales team leader, reporting to the Vice President of Sales for California. Fundamental wine knowledge is required and prior sales and/or management experience in distribution is a plus.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop your sales territory by directly calling on accounts and prospects seeking to significantly grow your account base, points of distribution and overall revenue.
- Bring attention and focus to both the Serendipity National Imports portfolio, as well as our Iberian portfolio. Includes education, scheduling and promotional aspects.
- Coordinate the Market Visit and Event Calendars for the sales team.
- Assist the Vice President of Sales with team leadership, strategy, planning and customer relationship management.
DUTIES
- Coordinate market visit calendar, including Sales Rep assignments.
- Support the Vice President of Sales in recruiting, training and mentoring a high-performing sales team.
- Collaborate with the Management Team to develop and execute effective sales strategies.
- Collaborate with the Marketing Team to support promotional activities.
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows and seminars.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years wine industry experience in Sales.
- Excellent leadership, time management and organizational skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong computer skills required for managing account data on an online platform.
- Knowledge of wine regions and grape varietals.
- Internet savvy and computer literate including Microsoft Excel.
- The ability to lift 50 pounds and reliable transportation.
