Job Title: Temporary Accounts Payable Specialist

Location: Gatesville, TX

Pay: $20.00 – $23.00 per hour (DOE)

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Type: Temporary Assignment

Job Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Accounts Payable Specialist for a temporary assignment in Gatesville, TX. The ideal candidate will have experience in accounts payable and be comfortable handling high volumes of invoices and vendor communication. This position requires accuracy, timeliness, and a strong understanding of accounting processes.

Responsibilities:

• Process and code invoices for payment
• Match purchase orders with invoices
• Ensure timely and accurate payments to vendors
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
• Maintain accurate records and documentation
• Communicate with vendors and internal departments regarding payments
• Assist with month-end closing and other accounting functions as needed

Requirements:

• 1+ year of recent accounts payable experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional accounting coursework a plus
