Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement engaging lessons aligned with the school's mission and educational philosophy.
- Use a variety of instructional strategies to meet the needs of diverse learners.
- Provide differentiated instruction to all students to maximize learning outcomes.
- Implement the IB Approach to Transdisciplinary learning.
- Modify instructional plans and materials to meet individual student needs by analyzing data.
- Demonstrate knowledge of educational research, trends and best practices.
- Integrate technology and experiential learning into daily instruction.
- Foster a safe, respectful, and nurturing classroom environment.
- Assess and monitor student progress through formative and summative assessments.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about student development and learning.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers, specialists, and administrators to enhance instructional practices.
- Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school-wide events.
- Uphold and model the school’s core values and community expectations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Valid Florida teaching certificate or ability to obtain certification.
- Prior experience teaching in an independent or private school setting preferred.
- Prior experience in an International Baccalaureate school preferred.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- A deep understanding of child development and differentiated instruction.
- Enthusiasm for working with elementary-aged children and collaborating with colleagues.
- Commitment to continuous professional growth and development.
